the GPS has taken some heavy damage after going in a few times at high speed....so i retired it.....lol..

Ok Thanks. The bushnells speed gun you are using is prone to errors but OK for a general speed measurement. If you an afford it I would get a trackmate LED system like we use at the speed events. Its around £250 but very accurate

....hmmm how do you see the errors?...what happens?...i would like to be sure im not getting them in my readings....i havent seen anything that looked like an error yet....but i will keep an eye on it.

The gun can pick up the whip of the aerial also the edge of the wheel if its exposed and also the gear through the screen. We only use speed traps at the speed events because of this

ok....i should be fine then...the aerial is only 2 inches long..(no movement at all)...the wheels are all inside the body...(not exposed) and the gear is also not exposed......good to know....and i AM working on a speed trap (Nic Case design) ....so that will be in the future...

I calculated the gearing and at max throttle your car is geared for 229mph. This just shows what I said that you have to massively overgear electric cars to get the speed

as big as you want. Put a 120 gear on the motor and a 13 as a spur and you get 1500 mph
