b4 speed project is back
« on: April 13, 2009, 12:10:22 am »

Hi
ive had this car on the isc forum before but now im going to share this one with you people. The car has a neater set u now and im going to lower the car a little because ive replaced my old front tires with 2 large o-rings from b and q. The car is on 4s lipo and ive had it so far go 78mph but im still fiddeling with the gear set up. Its also got a front wing to keep it from flipping. Im now going to try it with out a wing because its gettin lowered it shouldnt handle like a boat. The front o-rings make the car not handle as good but thats a good thing so the back end doesnt come round and without a wing im hoping for 80+. il have pics on tommorow.

Hi
im just soughting out the vid of the b4 at 80 mph. it could have gone quiker but it took me a while to sought the suspension out so it would handle properly. Im going out again tommorow aswell.

Hi
sorry about that there wasnt a video didnt have time to put it up.
tdays testint went well as usual then i decided to change cars and 1 lipo was stuck in the car for some reason i think the low voltage cut off didnt kick in. So just got 1 2s lipo now. for the stock class.

you will be in the open wheel class

Vehicles are classified Open Wheel if they meet the following criteria
·       Any Buggy, Truck, Monster truck or Truggy based kit
·       Single electric motor any size
·       Max cell capacity 15V 5000 mah
·       Bodyshell must not cover the wheels
·       Wheel diameter to be min 90mm
·       Stock kit chassis with commercial available upgrades

and the record is 90mph with a traxxas rustler

A 2wd buggy on 4S!! Man that will be fast and a bit difficult to keep straight but if you have had 87 already then you are doing something right!

Yes thats the open wheel class. I doubt if there will be anybody selling anything at the track, what are you looking for?

Looking forward to meeting all the guys at the event

Cheers

the b4 has the normal buggy wheels at the front but they are cut in half and im using o-rings it helps the car from looing control and its actually veryeasy to control. Als using the t4 rear foams at the moment half the shell is cut to fit the wires but ill put on different connectors so ill be puttin a new shell on it. I may also have an neu 1512 or lehner basic xl for it not sure yet. Ive also got to change the pinion for 90 plus mph. I wasnt really after anything just thought if there was there would be some good things to pick up from there.

If you get 100mph you get a special embroded hat with "100mph Club Life Member" on and I will be selling event tee shirts.

There is usually a sunday market on as well if you need some cheap towls and dodgy DVDs.. lol

Yeah sure. The essence of speed racing is to mod your cars to go fast. If we kept everything the same it would be just as boring as racing nationals in all classes.
